Shower or shun? new study tests drain safety after breast reconstruction

Summary
This study is for women who have had the first stage of implant-based breast reconstruction and have surgical drain tubes in place. It aims to see if showering 48 hours after surgery increases the risk of infection or affects quality of life. Half of the 100 participants will be allowed to shower, while the other half will follow standard drain care. The results will help doctors give clearer advice to future patients.
