First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study compares two types of nerve blocks for pain after arthroscopic shoulder surgery. One block targets the shoulder directly, while the other aims to avoid temporary paralysis of the diaphragm, which can affect breathing. Thirty adults having shoulder surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two blocks, and researchers will measure pain scores and diaphragm movement.
