Summary
This study tested three treatments for Achilles tendon pain in 46 runners: physical therapy, shockwave therapy, and a combination of shockwave and light therapy. Participants could switch treatments after three months. The goal was to see which approach best improves pain and function, measured by calf raises, ultrasound, and a symptom questionnaire.
