Could a common blood pressure pill boost radiation against tough pancreatic tumors?
NCT ID NCT04106856
First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether adding the blood pressure drug losartan to a shorter, stronger course of radiation can help treat pancreatic cancer that is either hard to remove surgically or has spread locally. Losartan may improve blood flow and oxygen in the tumor, making radiation more effective. The main goal is to check safety and side effects in about 22 adults with this type of cancer.
