Blood platelets may hold key to early ovarian cancer detection

NCT ID NCT06665945

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study is testing whether changes in platelet RNA can help doctors diagnose ovarian cancer more accurately and earlier. Researchers will collect blood samples from 245 women—some with ovarian cancer or an ovarian mass, and some healthy—to see if a new blood test works better than current methods. If successful, this approach could lead to a simple, non-invasive screening tool for a disease that is often caught too late.
