Blood platelets may hold key to early ovarian cancer detection

NCT ID NCT06665945

First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 09, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study is testing whether changes in platelet RNA can help doctors diagnose ovarian cancer earlier and more accurately. Researchers will collect blood samples from 245 women—those with an ovarian mass and healthy volunteers—to see if this new approach works. If successful, it could lead to a simple blood test that catches ovarian cancer sooner.
