First seen Feb 12, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study tests whether adding semaglutide (a drug used for diabetes and weight loss) to a standard topical cream can improve psoriasis and reduce inflammation. About 62 adults with plaque psoriasis who are overweight or have type 2 diabetes will receive either semaglutide or a placebo pill plus the cream for 12 weeks. The goal is to see if the combination leads to clearer skin and better quality of life.
