Bladder cancer combo trial halted early after just 4 patients
NCT ID NCT04856189
First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 14 times
Summary
This study tested a combination of two drugs, selinexor and pembrolizumab, for people with advanced bladder cancer who either could not take the standard chemotherapy cisplatin or whose cancer had worsened after cisplatin. The goal was to find the best dose and see if the combination could shrink tumors. However, the trial was stopped early after enrolling only 4 participants, so no strong conclusions can be drawn about its effectiveness.
