Summary
This study tested whether a selenium gel can help treat oral lichen planus, a chronic condition that causes painful sores in the mouth. Fifty adults with the condition used either selenium gel, a standard steroid cream, or an immunosuppressant cream. The goal was to see if selenium could reduce pain and improve healing, either alone or alongside standard treatments.
