Egg yolk powder takes on brain tumors: new trial underway

Summary
This early-phase study is testing whether a special egg yolk powder called Salovum® can reduce pressure and inflammation inside glioblastoma brain tumors. Ten adults with suspected glioblastoma will have probes placed during a biopsy to measure tumor pressure and fluid before and after taking Salovum®. The goal is to understand how the treatment affects the tumor environment, not to cure the disease at this stage.
