Egg powder takes on brain tumors: can it lower deadly pressure?

NCT ID NCT07364786

First seen Jan 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This early-phase study is testing whether a powder made from egg yolks (Salovum) can reduce pressure and inflammation inside glioblastoma brain tumors. Ten adults with suspected glioblastoma will have probes placed during a biopsy to measure tumor pressure and fluid before and after taking the powder. The goal is to understand if Salovum affects tumor conditions, not to cure the disease.
