First seen May 02, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested a new set of questions called PainTracker to help doctors guide older adults (65+) who are on long-term opioid therapy toward safer care. The goal was to increase referrals to non-opioid treatments like physical therapy or mental health support, and to reduce risky high-dose opioid use. 286 doctors and over 1,400 patients took part in this completed trial.
