Rosemary gel fights gum disease in new study
NCT ID NCT06601608
First seen May 05, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tested whether a gel made from rosemary extract can help treat advanced gum disease (periodontitis). Forty-eight adults with deep gum pockets received standard deep cleaning plus either the rosemary gel or a placebo gel. The goal was to see if the rosemary gel reduces pocket depth and improves gum health better than cleaning alone.
