Summary
This study tested a robotic arm that holds a tiny needle steady while a surgeon injects medicine under the retina to treat bleeding caused by age-related macular degeneration. 20 patients having standard surgery took part. The robot helped the surgeon keep the needle in the right spot for up to 3 minutes, aiming to make the injection more precise and safe.
