Strength machines tested to fight frailty in heart failure patients
NCT ID NCT06785168
Summary
This study is testing whether an 8-week program of supervised machine-based resistance training can improve muscle strength and physical function in older adults who have both chronic heart failure and sarcopenia (age-related muscle loss). Researchers will compare the training group to a group receiving usual care. The main goals are to see if the training improves handgrip strength, walking speed, and the ability to stand up from a chair.
