Can weight machines rebuild strength in frail hearts?
NCT ID NCT06785168
Summary
This study is testing whether an 8-week program of supervised strength training on exercise machines can help older adults who have both chronic heart failure and significant muscle loss (sarcopenia). Researchers will compare the training group to a group receiving usual care, measuring changes in handgrip strength, walking speed, and sit-to-stand ability. The goal is to see if this specific exercise can safely improve physical function and quality of life for these patients.
