NCT ID NCT06397040
First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether using FitBit activity trackers and daily smartphone surveys after bladder cancer surgery could help patients recover better and avoid going back to the hospital. 38 adults who had bladder removal surgery were randomly assigned to either standard care or extra remote monitoring. The monitoring group wore a FitBit and answered daily questions; if something seemed wrong, their care team was alerted right away. The goal was to see if this approach improves quality of life and reduces readmissions.
