First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether progressive relaxation exercises could help first-year nursing students feel less stressed and more resilient before starting clinical practice. Eighty students were split into two groups: one did eight relaxation sessions over four weeks, the other did not. Researchers measured stress, resilience, and sense of meaning in life using standard questionnaires.

- Active substance
- progressive relaxation exercises
- What this could lead to
- If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way for students to manage stress and improve well-being.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, completed study with only 80 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The exercises require regular practice and may not work for all individuals.
