New hope for heart inflammation sufferers: drug switch study launches

NCT ID NCT07288216

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 29 times

Summary

This study tests if a new drug called KPL-387 can safely replace standard treatments for people with recurrent pericarditis (repeated heart lining inflammation). About 80 adults whose condition is well-controlled on current therapy will switch to KPL-387 alone. Researchers will track how many stay free of flare-ups over 16 weeks and beyond.
