Summary
This study tested a technique called remote ischemic conditioning in 180 adults with septic shock. The treatment involves briefly inflating a blood pressure cuff on the arm to protect organs from damage. The goal was to see if this simple, non-drug approach could limit the severity of organ failure, which is a major cause of death in septic shock.
