First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study is testing a program called RiSE that teaches African American women ways to handle stress from racism and daily life. Researchers want to see if it improves well-being, reduces inflammation, and changes how genes work. About 300 women aged 50-75 with heart or metabolic risk factors will join either the RiSE program or a general health education class for 8 weeks.
