Psoriasis 'Memory' cells targeted in new skin study
NCT ID NCT05185258
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a combination of a medicated foam (Enstilar®) and narrow-band UVB light can change the 'memory' of psoriasis skin. Psoriasis often returns even after skin looks healed, possibly because certain immune cells (TRM cells) remember the disease. The study involves 12 adults with stable plaque psoriasis and will track skin changes over 18 weeks to see if treatment can reduce these memory cells and their surrounding environment.
