First seen Mar 30, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests whether psilocybin, the active ingredient in magic mushrooms, given alongside psychotherapy can safely reduce symptoms in people with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) that hasn't responded to standard treatments. Ten adults will receive two 25 mg doses two weeks apart in a supportive setting. The goal is to see if this approach is feasible, safe, and leads to meaningful symptom improvement.
