First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests a special proton therapy technique that avoids the hippocampus, a brain area key for memory, in children with low-grade glioma. The goal is to see if this approach is possible and helps preserve memory and thinking skills over time. About 74 children with certain types of brain tumors will take part. The treatment aims to control the tumor while reducing long-term side effects.
