First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 31 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding protein drinks to the diet can help prevent muscle wasting in people with heart failure. About 120 adults with heart failure and reduced pumping function will be split into three groups: no extra protein, low-dose protein, or high-dose protein. Researchers will measure changes in arm and leg muscle mass over time.
