First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tested a professional development program for newly graduated nurses in a Swedish hospital. The program included group discussions and training sessions to help nurses adjust to their roles. Researchers measured role clarity, task mastery, social acceptance, and stress levels in 101 nurses over their first year. The goal was to see if this support improves their work experience and professional growth.

- What this could lead to
- If successful, this program could help new nurses feel more confident and satisfied at work, potentially improving patient care and staff retention.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, completed study in one Swedish hospital, so results may not apply to other settings. The program is behavioral, not a medical treatment, so benefits are limited to professional support.
