First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether a daily probiotic supplement (LP299V®) can improve iron levels and prevent anemia in pregnant women at risk. About 250 women will take either the probiotic or a placebo from early pregnancy until labor. The goal is to find a safe, low-cost way to boost iron absorption and reduce complications for both mother and baby.
