Summary

This study tested whether a special probiotic mixture could relieve irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) symptoms in obese adults. 80 participants took the probiotic or a placebo for 10 weeks. Researchers measured if they felt adequate relief from pain and discomfort, and also checked changes in gut bacteria. The goal was to see if probiotics can improve quality of life for people with both obesity and IBS.
