Summary
This study tested a probiotic called Lactobacillus johnsonii N6.2 in 30 children and adolescents with type 1 diabetes. The goal was to see if it is safe and could help preserve the body's ability to produce insulin by improving gut health and immune response. Participants took the probiotic daily for 24 weeks and were monitored for side effects and changes in blood markers.
