Summary
This study tests whether a special breathing exercise called cardiac coherence can stop chronic post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) from developing. People who recently experienced a traumatic event and have acute stress will practice this breathing technique. The goal is to see if it helps them avoid long-term PTSD after three months.
