Mouthwash may tame cancer Drug's side effect

Summary

This study tests whether a steroid mouthwash (dexamethasone) can reduce painful mouth sores caused by the cancer drug datopotamab deruxtecan. About 60 adults with advanced breast or lung cancer will use the mouthwash four times a day for the first few treatment cycles. The goal is to lower the rate of mouth sores by 20% and improve quality of life during treatment.
