Digital health push aims to shield cancer survivors from diabetes
NCT ID NCT04742751
Summary
This study is testing whether a combination of a digital lifestyle program and the medication metformin can help prevent diabetes in adult survivors of childhood cancer who have prediabetes. The goal is to see if this combined approach is safe and practical for participants to follow. Researchers will first have participants try the lifestyle program alone for 12 weeks, then add metformin for another 12 weeks for those who still have prediabetes.
