Heart surgery kidney shield: new trial tests CoQ10 cocktail

Summary
This study tests whether taking CoQ10 and glutathione before and after heart surgery can prevent acute kidney injury. About 242 adults having elective bypass surgery will receive either the supplements or a placebo. The goal is to see if this simple approach can protect kidney function.
