First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study is for teens and young adults aged 12 to 24 who are planning to have weight loss surgery (sleeve gastrectomy). Researchers want to understand how the body changes after surgery and why some people lose more weight than others. They will also test if adding a medication called semaglutide can help those who haven't lost enough weight 1 to 2 years after surgery. The goal is to find better ways to measure success beyond just weight loss.
