Can a prenatal scan spot a hidden bowel danger?
NCT ID NCT03968107
Summary
This study aimed to see how well a standard third-trimester pregnancy ultrasound could locate specific parts of a fetus's intestines that are involved in a serious condition called malrotation with volvulus. Researchers compared the ultrasound results to a more detailed fetal MRI scan, which served as the gold standard. The goal was to improve prenatal detection of this rare but dangerous bowel abnormality.
