New support strategies aim to keep new moms in recovery
NCT ID NCT07104123
Summary
This pilot study is testing two practical strategies to help pregnant and postpartum people stay engaged in treatment for substance use disorder. The first strategy involves screening for basic needs like housing and transportation and connecting people to community support services. The second strategy tests a reward system to encourage positive recovery behaviors, like attending appointments. The goal is to see if these approaches are practical and acceptable before launching a larger trial.
