First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study tests whether a 7-day course of three antibiotics (ceftriaxone, clarithromycin, metronidazole) can prolong pregnancy and improve outcomes for pregnant individuals whose water breaks early (before 34 weeks). About 56 participants will be randomly assigned to the new combination or the current standard antibiotics. The goal is to delay delivery and reduce serious complications for newborns.
