Blood test could replace painful spinal tap for Alzheimer's diagnosis

Summary
This study is testing whether a blood test measuring a protein called p-Tau217 can diagnose Alzheimer's disease as accurately as the current method, which requires a spinal tap. Researchers will compare results from blood and spinal fluid samples from 40 adults with suspected Alzheimer's. If successful, this could lead to a simpler, less invasive way to diagnose the disease.
