First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested a special prosthetic foot that can twist as you walk, just like a real ankle does. Fourteen people with a below-knee amputation tried different twist settings while walking straight and in circles. The goal was to find the setting that feels best and reduces uncomfortable twisting forces on the leg.
