First seen Apr 03, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study tested a program to improve how older adults (65+) with advanced kidney disease talk with their doctors about dialysis. The program trained doctors in communication and coached patients to share their values and questions. The goal was to see if the program was feasible and acceptable, not to change health outcomes. 102 people took part, including doctors, patients, and caregivers.
