New imaging test aims to end guesswork in pediatric brain tumor care

Summary
This study is testing whether a special PET-MRI scan using 18F-fluciclovine can help doctors tell the difference between actual tumor growth and harmless changes that happen after treatment in children with high-grade glioma. About 30 children aged 1 to 21 with this type of brain cancer will receive the scan. The goal is to improve accuracy in deciding next steps, avoiding unnecessary surgeries or treatments.
