Summary
This study tested a special combined PET/MR scan to see if it could better detect amyloid protein buildup in the nerves of patients with amyloidosis. Researchers compared scan results from 8 patients with confirmed nerve amyloidosis to patients with other types of nerve damage. The goal was to see if this imaging method could help doctors more accurately diagnose this specific cause of nerve problems.
