Summary
This study tested whether a special combined PET/MR scan could help doctors see amyloid protein buildup in the nerves of patients with amyloidosis. Researchers compared scan results from 8 patients with confirmed nerve amyloidosis to patients with other nerve diseases. The goal was to see if this imaging method could improve the diagnosis of this specific nerve complication.
