First seen Feb 15, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looks at whether certain substances in saliva and fluid around dental implants can help detect and monitor bone loss and inflammation in people with peri-implantitis. Researchers will compare these markers in 80 adults: those with peri-implantitis, those with regular gum disease, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to find better ways to diagnose and track these conditions without invasive procedures.
