First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This early study tested whether combining an immunotherapy drug (pembrolizumab) with precise radiation (stereotactic radiosurgery) is safe for people with melanoma or lung cancer that has spread to the brain. 25 participants received the combination. The main goal was to check for serious side effects, especially in the brain. This approach aims to control the disease, not cure it.
