New drug cocktail shows promise against deadly thyroid cancer before surgery

Summary
This study tests whether giving three drugs (pembrolizumab, dabrafenib, and trametinib) before surgery can help control a rare and aggressive thyroid cancer called anaplastic thyroid cancer that has a specific gene change (BRAF V600E). The goal is to make surgery more successful and improve survival. About 30 adults with this cancer will receive the drug combination before their operation.
