NCT ID NCT06661356
First seen Mar 13, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 5 times
Summary
This study tests whether training young people to deliver HIV prevention medication (PrEP) to their peers increases its use. About 1,400 sexually active youth aged 15-24 in Brazil who are not currently taking PrEP will be randomly assigned to either peer-led community-based PrEP or standard clinic care. The goal is to see if peer delivery improves PrEP uptake, adherence, and persistence over 13 months.
