First seen May 07, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests whether a virtual meeting with a peer recovery coach can help incarcerated adults with substance use disorders connect to addiction treatment and support services. Researchers will compare usual care to a telehealth coaching session that uses motivational interviewing. The goal is to see if this approach increases engagement with recovery resources and reduces substance use and re-arrests.
