New stroke combo could save more brain cells

Summary
This study tests whether adding a clot-dissolving drug directly into the brain's arteries during standard clot removal helps people recover better after a medium-sized stroke. About 530 adults with acute ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to get the drug plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to see if more people are independent (able to care for themselves) 90 days later.
