New CT scanner could rival MRI for rectal cancer staging

Summary
This study looks at whether a new type of CT scanner (PCD-CT) can determine how far rectal cancer has grown as accurately as MRI. About 200 adults with rectal cancer will get both scans, and doctors will compare the results. If PCD-CT works as well, it could offer a faster or more accessible option for staging.
